Fantastic stay with stunning views

Superb location on a hillside and super friendly owner, Julienne! Breakfast was top-notch, and my room was spotless. Perfect for just chillin' in the lounge with a drink from the honesty bar. Only thing, the Wi-Fi was a bit dodgy at times, but that’s not a dealbreaker. Can't wait to visit again!

The room was spacious, but the electric heater took a while to warm up.

I felt right at home during my stay, as the proprietor took a personal interest in my visit and even helped find free parking. The wide breakfast selection was a delightful way to start my days of exploring Bicclescombe Park and the beautiful coastline a short walk away.

Parking is limited, and the front area can be busy at times. the WiFi was not reliable in some areas.

I really enjoyed my stay here where I loved the superb breakfast and the spotlessly clean room. The peaceful garden and cozy lounge were perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only downside was the slight noise from the street at night, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. 😊

My stay was utterly delightful! The breakfast was a feast with locally sourced dishes that even included homemade jams and pastries that danced on my taste buds. The elegance of the rooms at The Dorchester felt like stepping into a cozy, stylish haven. With clean lines and thoughtful touches, it was easy to navigate, making it ideal for us seniors to feel right at home.

More seating in common areas would be lovely.

WiFi was a bit spotty at times.

Unique Victorian architecture with well-maintained exterior and convenient on-site parking. Room 7 featured an impressively large bed, flat screen TV with Freeview, and a stocked fridge for easy access to drinks and snacks.

Being a bit removed from the main town was moderately inconvenient, making the trek into town a 10-15 minute walk. The room's decor had a certain understated charm that might feel too basic for those looking for something a bit more lavish, but it suited my needs just fine.

Welcoming host, spacious room, with excellent breakfast offerings made our stay enjoyable, and the free wi-fi allowed us to stay connected while exploring the area nearby.
